What kind of massage can I expect from The Garage Massage?

We tend to specialize in medical, treatment-based massage, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get a relaxing experience. After a short intake with your therapist, they will construct a plan to ensure your massage will be customized to suit your treatment goals. You can expect heated tables, hot towels, and hot stones during your session to decrease stubborn tension and stress. When we hire a therapist, we look for someone who is versatile and skilled. Regardless of whether they’ve been in the business for 12 weeks or 12 years, we train every therapist to a set standard to ensure our customer’s satisfaction. Check our bios page to find your perfect therapist!

How do I book an appointment?

We offer booking online via MindBody, over the phone, via text, and via email. MindBody offers real-time availability 24/7 and is most recommended for all of our clients. We require a credit/debit card stored, encrypted, on your MindBody profile in order to reserve the appointment - as such, booking over text and email is recommended only for returning clients. We allow appointment booking within a 120-day period of the current date, regardless of booking method.

Can I set up a recurring appointment?

We’ve disabled recurring appointments on our MindBody suite. Some of our therapists come highly requested and even book out to the 120-day period. If you’d like to book multiple appointments, you’ll have to do so manually - but you’ll be able to book as many as you’d like within the 120-day allowance. To stay scheduled on a regular basis, you’ll have to book more appointments as time passes and the 120-day period continues opening the schedule.

Do you ever have same day appointments or do I have to book out?

We book out quickly, especially in fall and winter. If you have specific days/times that work for your schedule, booking out is ideal to ensure you can get the appointment time you need. Our current policy prevents us from booking appointments over 120 days from the current date, to ensure fairness in online booking. We do occasionally get same-day and next-day cancellations which you can find on our MindBody site (we recommend checking between 8-11AM for the best results). To get notified of any short-notice appointments you might be interested in, add yourself to our waitlist!

Do you offer couples' massage?

We have one room for couples massage. This room can be booked over the phone only because we need to make sure it does not get booked by more than one couple at a time. Table massage and Thai massage can be done in this room together.

Can my child receive massage?

All clients under 18 years of age must have the written consent of a parent/guardian to be seen. Each therapist has individual comfort levels of seeing minors, which are listed in their bio in our Our Team section.

I can't find any appointments available online. Is that true?

Our MindBody site updates availability in real-time. Anything available for public booking will be available online on MindBody. We only turn our online booking off if we are currently prioritizing rescheduling clients due to unforeseen circumstances. If you cannot find anything online, please ensure you are using the drop-down to select a custom date range.

If left as “As Soon As Possible”, MindBody will only show appointments available within the next 60 days. During fall and winter, we often are booked past that 60-day schedule, especially if you’re looking for an evening or weekend appointment.

I’m having trouble booking on mobile, help!

Our online booking can be confusing if you are using a mobile device - especially when we are booked out for a while. On mobile devices the easiest route is to download the Mind Body Connect app.

When booking through the website keep in mind that when looking for available appointments the day must be green with a check mark. Although the grey boxes say "available" there is no availability that day.

What's your cancellation policy?

We require 24-hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling appointments. If you cannot give 24-hours notice, you will be charged the full amount for the appointment if we are unable to fill the appointment with another customer. Cancellations can be made via MindBody or phone at (425) 998-6542. You must leave us a voicemail or send us an email if you do not reach one of our staff.

If you miss an appointment without giving notice, it will be considered a “No-Show” and will be charged at the full cost of the appointment. If you are 30 minutes late and your appointment is shortened in length, you will be charged the full amount that you were initially scheduled for. These policies are in place with respect to our therapists, office staff, and other clients. Please arrive on time and be ready.

All clients are required to have a credit card on file in the event of late cancellations.

We recognize that emergencies happen. For cancellations made within 24 hours, it will be at the discretion of the office staff if a client must pay for the full service of the missed appointment.

In the event that you or a family member is experiencing an illness with vomiting, diarrhea, or has had a fever in the 24 hours prior to your appointment, please be respectful and kindly cancel your appointment. For these types of cancellations, there will be no charge because we do not want to expose our staff and other clients to illness.

It is your responsibility to keep track of your scheduled appointments via the mobile app, email and text confirmations, or by confirming your appointment online. We are not responsible for missed appointments due to client error.

Why do I need to put a card on file?

We require a card on file in order to enforce our cancellation policy. This protects our therapists and customers by allowing us to pay our therapists even when their client doesn’t show up for their appointment. This keeps our therapists unbiased and motivated to work, prevents negative feelings in the therapist-client relationship, and holds clients accountable for their schedules. It also allows us to keep costs down by giving us a way to collect on dues instead of expensive third-party collections companies and invoices in the mail. Your card will never be charged without authorization. Your information will be encrypted by MindBody and monitored 24/7, 365d/yr. For more information on MindBody’s security policy, see their Security page.
